Chairman of NAMMCO 1997-1999, a member of various delegations at international organizations and committees 1993-2000. A member of different icelandic committees, i.a. a committee on the investments of foreign entities in icelandic firms. Current chairman of a ruling committee according to Act 37/1992 on special fees for illegal marine catches.
